Garmin Striker 4 Fishfinder with Dual-Beam Transducer

The Striker 4 is Garmin's entry-level fishfinder with GPS. It's a 3.5-inch unit that runs CHIRP sonar on a dual-beam transducer, shows you fish and bottom structure, lets you mark waypoints, and has a built-in flasher for ice fishing or vertical jigging. No ClearVu, no SideVu, no Wi-Fi. It does the basics well and it's priced for someone who wants reliable sonar without spending a lot. The dual-beam transducer is included.

What It Does on the Water

CHIRP sonar on the included 77/200 kHz dual-beam transducer gives you better target separation than a standard single-frequency unit. You can see fish arches, read the bottom, and track water temperature. The built-in GPS lets you mark spots and navigate back to them, and the waypoint map shows your position relative to anything you've marked. Smooth Scaling keeps the sonar image clean when you change depth ranges, and sonar history rewind lets you scroll back to mark a waypoint you might have missed on the first pass.

The built-in flasher works well for ice fishing and vertical jigging situations where you want to watch your bait and see fish moving in real time. If you want to step up the sonar performance later, the Striker 4 is compatible with GT8 and GT15 transducers sold separately.
