Before you pull the boat down the road, this combo handles two trailering jobs. Beatdown Transom Saver & Steering Clip Combo secures the hydraulic steering rod and supports the outboard during transport. The steering clips are made for hydraulic systems, while the transom saver is designed for boats with dual trim rams.

The steering clips hold the rod in place to help prevent movement during transport. They fit systems with 4 inches of exposed steering rod and work with 3/4-inch, 7/8-inch, and 16 mm rod sizes. Both components are quick to install without tools.

The transom saver helps reduce engine bounce, vibration, and stress on the road. It also helps reduce wear on steering systems, trim components, and the transom itself. • Mercury: 2023 and newer 175 HP and up; 2018 and newer 2-stroke and 4-stroke models from 150 to 250 HP; all other models with dual trim rams.
• Yamaha: 4-stroke models from 150 to 250 HP; 2-stroke and SHO 4-stroke models; all other models with dual trim rams.
• Honda: 2-stroke models with dual trim rams.
• Suzuki: All models with dual trim rams.
• Tohatsu: All models with dual trim rams.
