Garmin ECHOMAP UHD2 73cv with GT20-TM Transducer
The ECHOMAP UHD2 73cv gives you a 7-inch keyed display with traditional and ClearVu sonar and Navionics+ US inland mapping covering thousands of lakes with up to 1-foot contours. The GT20-TM transducer is included. If you fish Minnesota, Wisconsin, or Michigan lakes and want a larger screen for reading contour maps and marking fish, this is the unit that fits that job without overcomplicating the setup.
What It Does on the Water
The 7-inch screen is the real upgrade here. On a walleye or crappie lake, you spend a lot of time reading contour maps and cross-referencing sonar returns with depth changes. A bigger display makes that easier, especially when you are running at speed and trying to watch the map and the sonar at the same time. ClearVu gives you a sharp, high-contrast picture of what is directly below the boat, so you can see suspended fish, bottom composition, and structure detail without squinting at a 5-inch screen. Traditional CHIRP sonar handles the fish arches and depth readings you use to set your presentation.
The GT20-TM transducer covers traditional and ClearVu sonar. No SideVu on this model. If you want side imaging, step up to the 73sv. Built-in Wi-Fi shares sonar and waypoints with another compatible Garmin unit on the same boat, and the ActiveCaptain app handles software updates and chart access from your phone.
